We live in a time of distress, a time when our school budgets are slashed, jobs are lost, health care is cut, homes face foreclosure, the occupation of Iraq continues, war in Afghanistan escalates, predictable natural disasters devastate thousands, innocent people are executed and held in long-term detention without trial, and the environment is being destroyed.

Yet, there is hope, and a resistance demanding a better world is growing. Now is the time to discuss our vision: what do we need to do to improve our society?
