Organizing Meeting against the Nazis

Mar 1 2010 - 7:00pm - 8:00pm

On March 21st, the Illinois National Socialist Front (INSF)—an avowed fascist group who espouse racist, sexist, homophobic and anti-Semitic ideas—will be coming to Chicago. They have joined with other far-right hate groups for a regional Midwest conference and "White Pride" march around the outrageously racist theme, "Can you afford diversity?"

The presence of Nazis in our city cannot be tolerated. Statistics show that once fascist organizations gain a foothold anywhere, hate crimes against minority groups increase. Meanwhile, elections in Europe have recently highlighted their ability to take advantage of the economic crisis by scapegoating people of color and immigrants to gain a hearing and even a toehold in the government.

Bolstered in part by the over-hyped "Tea Party" movement in the U.S., allowing Nazis to go unchallenged in our diverse city will put all of our communities at risk. Come to an organizing meeting on March 1st to plan for a counter-demonstration to take on the fascists. Let the INSF and its allies know that they are not welcome here in Chicago!
